Women Empowerment

  • Education

In its efforts to uplift the level of Education in the society, the Foundation has established an Adult Education Centre at its secretariat In Birnin Kebbi. A large number of women have so far been enrolled and are at various levels of acquiring education in both formal and informal classes.

  • Skill Acquisition

Under this program, women undergo Training in Tailoring, Knitting, Cosmetics, and Detergent making.

Special Intervention Program

Over the years, governments at various levels have concentrated on providing classrooms for the students in rural communities. However, the inability of the teachers to live and teach within the rural communities has hindered the efforts of the authorities in uplifting the educational levels in these communities. Studies have shown that the unavailability of standard accommodation for living within communities is one of the factors that discourage teachers from going to live in these rural areas.

Orphans And The Less Privileged

Most of the intervention by the Foundation to this category has been in the area of payment of school fees and catering for orphans in both public and private schools. The Foundation currently sponsors 34 students at various levels of education in the following schools.

  • Al-Hikmah Nursery/Primary School
  • Staff Basic Education Nursery/Primary School
  • FOMWAN Nursery/Primary School
  • Gwandu Emirate Nursery/Primary School
  • Al Furqan Nursery/Primary School
  • NYSC Primary School

The Foundation is seeking assistance to expand the reach of this program, due to the enormity of the demand and the importance of Education to our National Development.
